You based your whole comment on hearsay, not on an objective view of the situation, e.g. at the very least BOTH or more statements plus the evidence (is there any evidence of what you saying at all?). I suggest you watch a documentary about it rather than hearsay.

Besides, the age difference has nothing to do with it. I dated a guy who was 20 years my senior and truly loved him. In Europe, nobody would say a thing, in the States we were publicly humiliated when we went to a bar — he was called sugar daddy as loudly as possible even though he was anything but and he sure didn’t pay me to love him. So Americans, yes, you DO have some serious issues.
